  1. Very nice, Brenda. Have you had the experience that you couldn’t take your eyes away, but you didn’t know why? That’s how I feel…
    Have a wonderful day.

    1. Thank you, Helen. I have found that certain photographs, poems, movies will draw me back, again and again…even in memory.

  2. I agree with Helen. You do things with subtle dialed-back color that very few people can pull off. A possible disadvantage is that one needs a very well calibrated screen to really see it. I have a very well calibrated screen. And I definitely see it.

    1. Thank you, David. In seems to me that images from the western hemisphere (Europe and US) are more busy than art from the east, especially in movie scenes of landscapes and pottery. So I wonder if this is drawn from differences in teaching methods or …?

  3. Not sure why but there does seem to be a difference. Japanese and art from China is much more simple in the number of elements in there art. That said if you look back to Muslim/Islamic art that was brought over to southern Europe many centuries ago it was all rather complicate well crafted designs. I guess like anything else in todays world it is all gradually morphing together πŸ™‚
